In 2014, the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation launched Cities for People with the goal of making Canadian cities more resilient and livable. By linking local efforts across the country with those taking place in other parts of the world, the first phase of Cities for People sought to foster a culture of social innovation and deeper collaboration.
